What the dog longevity pill will cost
Nothing has a price yet. Under $100 a month is a reported goal for LOY-002, not a price.
What has been said
Loyal has not announced a price for any of its drugs, and its site offers only a sign-up for news (Loyal). Its founder, Celine Halioua, has been reported as hoping the average dog could take LOY-002 for under $100 a month (Entrepreneur); the Deseret News reported only an "accessible price point" (Deseret News).
What adds to the cost
LOY-002 would be a prescription, so expect a vet visit to start it, and whatever checks your vet wants while your dog takes it. LOY-001 is an injection given at the clinic every three to six months, so each dose is a visit (Loyal).
And what people pay now
The longevity chews in pet shops start at about $30 for 60 (Vitacost), but none is an approved drug and none has shown a longer life in dogs. The chews on sale now.
